Sex Offenders & Their Punishment

I just read a story were a 39 year old Virginia man was sentenced to 150 years in prison for sexually exploiting minors and running his own child pornography Web sites. Now this is not his first offense, because he had pleaded guilty in January to the production/distribution/possession and selling of child pornography. How many times will we let these PREDATORS commit such violent acts before we realize we need to be tougher on them the 1st time. Just think, we the tax payers will be providing for him for the rest of his life. This is our "Thanks" for what he has done to helpless children.

It's sad, but it's true, the Liberal party has always been first to pipe up and say, "Everyone needs a chance, etc." Why is it that the Liberal party makes excuses for these sick "waste of yours' and my oxygen that we could be breathing"? The old saying in the Bible, "An Eye for an Eye, Tooth for a Tooth", does it mean anything at all?

I think for those of you reading this that do not have kids cannot truly understand a parent's concern on this, but if anyone ever went near my little girl, daddy's little girl, and tried performing these acts, let's just say that my wife would be sending me care packages.

What is the thought process that goes through these Pedophiles' minds? What is the thought process that goes through the minds of those defending them and their actions?

150 years is not enough for his actions. He has robbed little boys/little girls of their childhood and innocence and I guarantee you that they will have a hard time having a "Normal" life later on.

I want to know what you think, is 150 years the appropriate sentencing, should it be more severe or you do you think it is "fair"? I want your opinions, write your comments now!

Here is the National Sex Offenders Public Registry Website where you can do searches in your area:

The only punishment that is appropriate for these sex offenders is to have their family jewels taken away!

Milk momma, you sound kind of spunky...I like that. I agree with you about the jewels...rip 'em off and shove them down their own throat...let them choke on their own pathetic vomit.

Old Ranger- it just goes to show the Liberals are really screwing up America. The first time the Pedophiles violate anothers Right, they should lose every Right they ever thought about having.

Why have a trial? Just go straight to the open season 1-day per year of all Sex Offenders as you suggested.

Just think of all the Offenders who have not registered. Could be your next door neighbor, what do you think about, If we find them we send them to G'itmo?

I'm a firm believer in an eye for an eye. The sick twisted scumbags don't deserve to live and breath. There is no cure for them, the need to be put to death, as if it were a rabid dog.

I do agree that sex offenders in general deserve no mercy. If there were a time and place for "cruel & unusual punishment", then child sex offenders are prime candidates. After all, whatever it was that they did to some poor child was definitely under the "cruel" category.

Now, we do have to be careful what is deemed a "sex offense" though. There are some states putting ridiculous restrictions on people. For example, Georgia just passed a law that no sex offender may live within 1000 ft of a place where children will congregate (school, playground, church, bus stop, etc.) and in some counties, there is essentially no where for sex offenders to live. Not such a bad idea, huh? For the most part, it's great. What about the 17 year old who got caught doing the nasty with his 16 year old girlfriend whose angry daddy turned him over to the police. He is labelled for life as a sex offender even if 2 years later he marries that girlfriend and her angry daddy is now his father in law. He can no longer live near their neighborhood school or church. Try explaining to little Johnny why they have to move.

Not all sex offenders are the same.

Point well taken. You are exactly right, there are instances where the previous blogs do not pose relevance, however, in the majority of "sex Offenses", they are relevant. As far as rights for Sex Offenders, when they violated someone else's Rights (whether a child, teenager or an Adult is the victim)I think they should lose their Rights.

I've looked at the local registry. I saw that one child molester pervert lived down the street from me. I was suprised to see so many women on there too. Not sure how that happens all the time.

On another note, I'm NOT sticking up for those on the registries, BUT many of us do not realize (I was one of them -- hadn't thought abut it) that some of those listed may have had consenting sex with a minor when they themselves were young, but of legal age. This is my understanding that this list follows them around forever. Hey, don't get me wrong -- there are a lot of perverts around. But, just think back when you were 18 or 19 and you may of had a boyfriend/girlfriend not of legal age at the time, etc. Things happen... etc., etc. You could be on that list right now.

One last note, I think the local prosecuting attornies should go after known statutory rapists. They know who they are, they're listed in the birth announcements everyday in local newspapers. It is not difficult to figure out -- if one of the parents are listed as still "attending highschool." Just some thoughts...

'An Eye for an Eye, Tooth for a Tooth'

The answer is simple. we must fuck sex offenders without their consent. take em by suprise. if possible, while they are still underage.

so sayeth the bible...
