Here comes Charlie, here comes Charlie, right down Liberal Lane...

Charlie Rangel is back in the news after deciding that Americans should have to sign up for a new military draft after turning 18 under a bill that the kook liberal will introduce next year. Rangel said Sunday that he sees his idea as a way to deter politicians from launching wars.

Politicians from launching wars, let’s fix that statement for him. What he meant to say, but didn’t was this is a way to demean the reputation of President Bush. If we listened to every poll out there, to every liberal news report, and actually believed the bile we were told, there would be many Americans against the War on Terror, the War on Iraq, etc. Everyone would actually believe that what we are doing is not in the best interests of our Nation and to the world.

Being honest here, we cannot turn back for in all reality we will be admitting defeat and we will become more and more vulnerable to attacks. Hell, with Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate, it is merely a matter of time before we are attacked again, on our own soil. Then, just maybe then, the American society will wake up, realize and support this country’s military actions.

I’m leaving the rest of this up for debate, I look forward to everyone’s viewpoints, both Liberal, Conservative or whatever.

go chalie, go charlie, instituting the draft would cut the dems throats, I always thought they blamed the gop and said that was what we had planned.

I think you are right about an attack on our soil...but we will have to hold our breath and hope it won't happen, but the terrorists celebrated this victory by saying they would attack

keep going dems it will line the gop up in 08 to come back in and clean it all up

I think this is just the tip of the iceberg for what the liberals have up their sleeve for their game plan. I remember the first gulf war and there was a lot of talk about the draft then. It really gets everyone fired up -- especially anyone who has a family member who is or soon to be draft age -- no matter what political party that are.

I agree with Kwilcox -- it could cut them. At first I was unsure. We shall see what happens.

It will be interesting to see what the libs pull out of their sleeve. I hope that they get too eager and start pulling everything out early.

Notice that Pelosi already came out and silenced him and said that there will be no such thing on the agenda for the upcoming session. How hard this must be! She is having to look and act like a centrist! But see, at least she is smart enough (unfortunately) to know that this kind of nonsense spells doom in '08.

I agree about the attack--we've just encouraged them.
